NEW SINGLE RELEASED
It’s already March and I haven’t put out any new music, so here’s a tune to keep the fans happy.
It’s a slow, majesterial, elegant and melancholy song drenched in distortion, soaring on waves of harmonic saturation. I actually made the drum sounds from scratch this time, rather than relying on vintage drum machine samples as I usually do. This here is the “radio edit” - still five minutes long, but you’ll have to wait for the next album (June?) to hear the full seven minute version.
The cover art, by the way, is a photo I took in Ostia - a ruined Roman port city which is much less well-known than Pompeii. What does this picture have to do with the song? Well, perhaps it’s a visual aid to the title’s rumination on the impermanence of everything.
