ANOTHER NEW ALBUM RELEASED...

Amazingly, I’ve just released my second album of the year - which is something of a record (no pun intended).

My first ‘quality’ Easter Islanders effort came out in 2010, the second in 2014, the third in 2016, and the last in February of this year. I really can’t explain this sudden burst of prolific productivity, but here it is, ten slices of melodic electronica for you to silently sway to.

I think this new one, entitled Classical Kinematics, is much better than the bloated and somewhat stodgy double album Standard Ruler of the Mean Free Path that proceeded it. Just ten tracks, but wide-ranging in style: we’ve got a sure-fire ear worm of an EDM hit, a couple of mellow jazzy pieces with real guitar or bass, a solo piano tune, a long atmospheric track with found-sound percussion, and a cinematic interlude, together with a few more typical songs.

Lashings of vintage synth as usual, and this time most of the drums are samples of old classic drum machines. One song also features my real analogue synth.

And of course, I’ve already started work on the next album…
